Having studied landscape design and worked as a nursery man and self-employed gardener, I have for a long time had a deep appreciation of the botanical wonders in and out of the garden. This gallery shows non-descriptive images and concentrated efforts towards highlighting a certain detail I have found practically pleasing. This is achieved by using the Sigma 105mm Macro lens, capable of getting really close and sharp images, even when hand held.

Largely composed of examples of Christchurch's botanical gardens, many of the varieties and sub-species, although not always native, can be found in the United Kingdom.
