Photography is my way of connecting with the world that interests me. I tend to do this instinctively by either capturing the light of a scene, or one of the unique flowers that surround us, or perhaps even using Black and White to show an emotional moment in time.
Essentially my approach has always been emotional and is therefore rarely planned as I prefer to shoot on the spot and in the moment, using a balance of creative instinct and technical knowledge.
I came to photography from an art background. I studied both art and design and landscape design, plus worked as a Gardner and nurseryman. Therefore the transition towards capturing the natural world with a camera was a fluid one, its the natural world and its expressions through organic forms have always fascinated me, and I intend to capture some of this beauty for many years to come.
Photography is a diversely creative medium that has allowed me to experience and connect with the moments life finds us in, and I hope you enjoy sharing these moments with me.
